Kaputone Wool Scour Upgrades to the latest DRYCOM 8 Series Moisture Measurement System

Kaputone Wool Scour in Christchurch recently uipgarded to the latest DRYCOM 8 Series Moisture Measurement system to replace the exisiting DRYCOM system which had clocked up more than 15 years of service (it was on one of the original lines before the 3m plant was installed).
The Moisture Measurement system is a vital part of any modern scouring operation and realising that support for the old system was becoming more difficult due to the age of the system and the shortage of spare parts the decision was made to upgrade.
The DRYCOM 8 Series system has three sensors evenly spaced across the 3m wide dryer exit, the system continuously monitors the moisture of the freshly dried wool fibre and sends this information to the central control system which controls the dryer to maintain the target fibre moisture as read by the DRYCOM meter.
Mr Don Carudus of Kaputone sent the following note after the installation was completed:
"Thanks Jim, Gordon and Steve for the new meter, it works fantastically and is one of the best installations I have ever seen."
