Merino Pty Ltd, Sydney Australia, recently installed a Streat Moisture Control system on their Viscose and Viscose/Polyester Wipes line.
The Streat system continuously monitors the moisture of the nonwoven (hydro-entangled) wipe fabric as it nears the end of the drying process (solid heated can sets), the system then regulates the speed of the line to ensure the wipe moisture content is maintained at the desired level.
Mr David Robinson, Merino Operations Manager, reports:
