AQUAFLEX Soil Moisture Sensors
There
are two types of AQUAFLEX soil moisture sensor. Both soil moisture
sensors use the unique AQUAFLEX measurement technique using a 3m (10’)
long flexible tape to provide measurement of a volume of 6 litres (370
cubic inches) of soil.

AQUAFLEX Logging Soil Moisture Sensor (Part # SI.95)
The AQUAFLEX logging soil moisture sensor has a built in datalogger, which makes it a completely self-contained system.
Data can be transferred either directly to a PC or via a Palm handheld computer.
The
AQUAFLEX logging densor is supplied with a Battery Box which needs to
be accessible (eg mount on a post or locate in a valve box).

AQUAFLEX Soil Moisture Sensor (Part # SI.99)
The AQUAFLEX soil moisture sensor (Part # SI.99) has multiple outputs:
- 4
to 20mA, two separate outputs for soil moisture and soil temperature.
For connection to irrigation controllers, telemetry systems etc.
- Frequency,
for connection to pulse inputs e.g. a flow meter input in an irrigation
controller (only soil moisture can be accessed from this sensor output).
Alternative signals such as 0 to 5V can be supplied, if required.

AQUAFLEX PC & Link Software (Part # SI.64)
The AQUAFLEX PC Software enables you to manage and fully utilise your AQUAFLEX data.
AQUAFLEX PC Software is for installation on a PC with Microsoft WindowsTM and provides for:
- Data to be downloaded from a Logging Sensor, either directly or via a PalmTM handheld computer.
- Graphing of soil moisture, soil temperature and rainfall.
- Management of data files.
- Transfer of data to other programs.
The
AQUAFLEX Link Software is installed in the Palm handheld to enable
transfer of data from an AQUAFLEX Logging Sensor to a PC using the Palm
handheld.

AQUACOM Data Logging and Telemetry
Automatic
logging and downloading of AQUAFLEX Soil Moisture and Temperature data
and also other sensor data (e.g. Rainfall, air temperature, flow, etc)
via radio is available.

|
|
|
Cable - AQUAFLEX Logging Sensor to PC (Part # SI.96)
Used to connect the AQUAFLEX Logging Sensor directly to a PC.

AQUAFLEX Sensor Frequency Interface (Part # SI.80)
The
AQUAFLEX Frequency Interface module provides a relay output for the
frequency output from the AQUAFLEX Sensor (Part # SI.99). This allows
interfacing to equipment that requires a relay contact input (eg some
irrigation controllers).
This interface also
allows the AQUAFLEX Sensor (Part # SI.99) to be powered from a 12 to 24
v ac power supply as are common in most irrigation controllers etc.
The interface is housed in a small industrial module suitable for mounting in a controller cabinet.

|
|
|
|
AQUAFLEX Irrigation Threshold Switch (Part # SI.97)
The AQUAFLEX Irrigation Threshold Switch is used to enable or disable irrigation at an adjustable soil moisture level.
It
is commonly used wired into an irrigation controller’s rain stop switch
to disable irrigation if the soil moisture is above a certain value.
The interface is housed in a small industrial module suitable for mounting in a controller cabinet etc.

AQUAFLEX Sensor Battery Pack (Part # SI.86)
The
AQUAFLEX Sensor Battery pack is used when the AQUAFLEX Sensor (Part #
SI.99) is connected to third party data loggers, weather stations etc
which cannot supply sufficient power to the sensor.
The AQUAFLEX Sensor Power Pack provides an independent source of power to the sensor for these applications.
Requires 8 x AA size Alkaline batteries - not included.
