Aquaflex in Root Crops

One of the benefits of AQUAFLEX's flexible sensor is that it can be installed right into the heart of the rootzone.

People often ask where AQUAFLEX should be installed. AQUAFLEX doesn't mind. Where do you want to measure?
It is clear where the roots obtain moisture from, so it makes no sense to measure elsewhere. Often probe type devices measure in access tubes that are not representative of what the situation is in the rootzone itself.
Aquaflex measures where it matters; in the roots. Giving you the information that is most relevant; how much water is available in the rootzone.
In relatively short rootzones a single AQUAFLEX sensor can provide continuous monitoring, whilst in deep root zones a second sensor can monitor at a different level.
In many cases AQUAFLEX is installed at an angle down through the rootzone to give an average of the moisture content of the entire zone.
One of the benefits of AQUAFLEX's unique spatial averaging principle is that inaccuracies associated with probe type moisture measurement techniques are eliminated.
The fact that AQUAFLEX measures a large sample size and area, in comparison to the very small sphere of measurement associated with probes, means that less sensor are required for a given area of land. This is due to the repeatability and accuracy that results from Aquaflex's measurement technique.

Aquaflex can be used in multi-sensor logging situations or by simple logging sensors in a field.

In large farms data can be transmitted to the farm by radio transmitters situated at each sensor.
